Less than a week to go before the Brighton Marathon and I’m beginning to feel like Simon Pegg in Run, Fatboy, Run. Okay, I have managed to drop off a lot of the weight in the past 3 weeks, thanks to Tim Ferriss. I tried out a low-card diet I found in his book The 4-Hour Body, 10.5kg’s gone in 3 and a half weeks! More about that in the next post.
Never the less, I still have to run 26 miles in less than a week! How did I get here?
Running a marathon is one of the many adventures on my bucket list. When the opportunity arose to run a marathon and raise money running for a good cause, I grabbed it. So, I will be taking on the 26 mile coastal challenge to raise money for Riders for Health. The money we are raising will make a huge difference to the Riders for Health programmes in Africa. It will help them mobilise more health workers with reliable vehicles so that they can deliver vital health care to rural, isolated communities.
